Terry Sturmer, MSW, LSW
Terry is a deeply compassionate, intelligent, patient, and creative therapist. She works with adolescents, adults, and families providing clinical assessment, ongoing psychotherapy, group support, and parenting guidance. She helps individuals and families cope with challenges related to adoption, addiction in the family, anxiety, depression, grief, living losses, peer relationships, parenting struggles, physical illness, school related stress, and trauma. To support her clients' growth, Terry combines an effective range of creative clinical interventions including talk therapy, EMDR, guided imagery, IFS and mindfulness meditation.
Terry co-wrote a chapter on healing from living losses for Robert Neimeyer's intervention handbook: Techniques of Grief Therapy: Assessment and Intervention. She is a regular speaker on issues of complex organizational dynamics, professional compassion fatigue and treating trauma.
