Cuddle My Kids collaboration

We are very proud to report that we have been asked to provide counseling services through Cuddle my Kids. This is a free service dedicated to supporting families battling cancer as they find ways to balance recovery with caring and nurturing their young children at home.  

Cuddle My Kids participants may ask for a counseling consultation with Healing Concepts, LLC and it will be entirely paid for!  Now that is a great service! Please visit their website at www.cuddlemykids.org/

SHiNE collaboration

Lara has joined the faculty for the Portland Institute for Loss and Transition, launching May 2018. Founded by Director Robert A. Neimeyer, PhD, the Portland Institute will offer mental health professionals onsite and online training in grief therapy leading toward Certification in Meaning Reconstruction and Loss. For more information, please see our Portland Institute page.

Lara is thrilled to be one of The Portland Institute's Practicum Faculty.  She will support students in achieving proficiency using the Meaning Reconstruction Model of care for loss, grief and transition.  She will also offer trainings that will count towards this exciting certification program.

MSAA:  Lara was selected to be the expert on the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America's second ever podcast.  She answered questions about the challenges of being a care partner to someone living with MS and offered wisdom for self care. ADEC National Conference: Lara was selected to present at the prestigious Association for Death Education & Counseling 40th Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, April 2018. For more information visit www.adec.org
